SAFE AREA CONTROLLERS
Standard controllers are based on one thermostat and a terminal block within a polycarbonate enclosure environmentally protected to IP66 (typically sized 150 x 150 x 100mm), suitable for wall mounting or for pipe mounting. The pipe mounting bracket allows the heaters to be connected without any heating cable being exposed once thermal insulation is completed.

SAT/1: Air Sensing.........
Switching capacity 16 amps on 240 volts, range 0-30°C, single pole
SCT/1: Capillary.............
Switching capacity 15 amps on 240 volts, range 0-120°C. SPDT. Capillary length 1000mm.
ACT/2: Dual thermostat with air sensor as above plus a capillary sensor arranged to provide over-ride protection
TCT/2: Dual capillary thermostat, the second sensor being arranged to provide over-ride protection
CB/1: Junction Box with polycarbonate enclosure weatherproof to IP66 for wall or pipe mounting, 100 x 100 x 75mm
Versions are available with features such as: indicating lights, mains isolator, MCB or RCD protection, volt-free contacts for use with Building Management Systems, other temperature ranges, three phase operation, "burst-fire" control, or electronic thermostat control.
HAZARDOUS AREA CONTROLLERS
A Full range of capillary, dual capillary or air sensing thermostats and connecting boxes is also available for use in areas rated as electrically hazardous Zone I or Zone II.

CONTROL PANELS
The Netco System Protection Unit type control panel, or SPU, is designed to provide improved protection to electric trace heating circuits by means of individual Minature Circuit Breakers to give overcurrent protection plus a Residental Current Device for overall earth fault protection.
Should an MCB or RCD trip, an indicating light shows a fault condition. Two other front-mounted indicating lights show "Mains ON" and "Heat ON". Each SPU is manufactured to suit a specific trace heating system and utilises a grey polycarbonate enclosure 470 x 390 x 130mm suitable for wall mounting, weatherproof to IP56, complete with a front-mounted isolator.
Special SPUs are available with features such as: Energy Saving Circuitry (which can reduce the operating costs of frost protection systems by up to 50%), ammeteres, digital temperature indicators or electronic thermostats. Additional weather-protection covers can also be provided.
